Let me tell your story...
Raise your hand if family photos feel like a chore! While this is true for most, this makes me so sad! Why should capturing your current stage of life feel like something negative you HAVE to do and not like something positive you GET to do? I want you and your family to have a fun experience while I capture your personalities. I want to spend time with your family, get to know them, capture exactly who each of you are as a family unit so that when you look back on these images years down the line, they bring back happy memories and not the 'chore' of getting your pictures taken. Your season should be told right now AND you should enjoy it.
"My family and I did our first photo shoot together back in the beginning of October. The experience we had with Positively Freckled was WONDERFUL! Noel was so patient with my children, especially my defiant three year old son who wanted absolutely no parts of holding still for pictures. I was sure it was fated to be a disaster! Not only did Noel capture some heart-warming, magical moments, but she took the time to send this anxious mom some 'teaser' pictures the very next morning to put my mind at ease. She really took the time to engage with us and make everyone feel comfortable during our shoot, and then the images that came out of it were simply beautiful. We will most certainly be using Noel again in the future for any photography needs for our family!"

I like to take a more artistic approach on your families images and capture as many candids as I can. I enjoy interacting with you guys but also love to let you be and have fun! While I'll ask you to all look at the camera for a few photos, most of the session will be your family interacting with each other; let's capture that sweet babe you just brought home, or your toddler running away from big brother, or your teenager giving you a bear hug! I want to be there to embrace every moment with you, laughter and tantrums included! ;)
I love to photograph families in the evening because the light is pure gold. This also allows me to get those bold, warm tones in your session and helps me achieve the same look in my photography, which is hopefully why you're here! Because of this limiting time, we will only reschedule if it is absolutely necessary; don't let those clouds fool you, overcast lighting is some of my favorite as well! I also love to help families with picking out their outfits! I prefer the family to wear simple, nondistracting outfits that are in the same color scheme, but aren't matching. Toddlers in diapers are also always welcome!

With this being totally true for me, I try really hard to get to know you and keep the conversations going during the session to make everyone feel at ease...especially if you have a toddler obsessed with Bluey.

Every photographer has their own style that is unique to them. You clicked on my website to see more of my images because something caught your eye! Was it the warm tones? The deep greens? The non-posed family images? Either way, I hope you enjoy my style as much as I do!
